Our Approach to Learning

We provide in-home and online tutoring at a time that you specify.  We tailor our instruction to your child's individual needs.  When we tutor, your child is the center of attention.  Our tutors are warm and caring but at no time do they tolerate any down time from their students. Students are expected to cooperate fully with their tutors and work hard and diligently.  We believe education is a two way street.

We utilize the students own textbooks and materials from school. Therefore, it is imperative that the student bring home their textbooks and have adequate supplies such as paper and pencil. For students of a different language who want to improve their English, reading, and writing skills, we will provide the necessary materials.

In order to provide individualized instruction tailored to your child's neeeds, we provide a diagnostic assessment on the first visit. This helps us determine the strengths and weaknesses your child has academically and where we need to go from there to improve their academic journey. We also conduct a learning styles assessment on our inital visit. This helps us to find out how your child learns best so we can instruct him/her accordingly. We then construct a Student Action Plan to help us map out a course of action and to give us a direction to go in to help your child succeed.

We have a "zero tolerance for excuses" policy. We believe every child has the ability to succeed no matter what limitations they may face. We will work with your child to get him or her on the road to success! When they succeed, then we succeed!
